이해 작가는 제7회 벗이미술제에서 최우수상을 수상한 뒤, 2024년부터 벗이미술관 소속 작가로 활동하고 있습니다. 그는 스스로를 “사랑을 그리는 작가”라 소개하며, 자폐성 장애를 지닌 작가로서 사랑과 관계의 본질을 섬세하고 독창적인 시선으로 작품에 담아냅니다.

작가의 작품은 주로 그림 형제의 브레멘 음악대(Town Musicians of Bremen)와 동물 가족을 모티브로 삼아 자신만의 방식으로 재해석합니다. 각 동물 캐릭터에 생명력과 개성을 불어넣고, 밝고 선명한 무지갯빛 색감을 통해 독창적인 표현 세계를 구축합니다. 이러한 과정에서 드러나는 특유의 관찰력과 유머 감각은 관람객에게 유쾌한 시각적 경험을 선사합니다.

그는 사랑, 우정, 가족과 같은 보편적이지만 현대 사회에서 종종 잊히는 가치들을 작품 속에 담습니다. 그리고 이를 통해 관람객에게 따뜻한 유대의 소중함을 다시금 일깨워주며, 우리가 서로를 얼마나 사랑하고 이해로 연결되어 있는지를 끊임없이 질문합니다.

Lee Sun received the Grand Prize at the 7th Versi Art Festival and has been represented by the art museum VERSI since 2024. Describing himself as an “artist who paints love,” Lee presents works that delicately and uniquely explore the essence of love and human relationships through the lens of someone with autism.

His artworks often reinterpret themes such as the Grimm Brothers' "The Town Musicians of Bremen" and animal families from his distinctive perspective. By imbuing each animal character with vitality and individuality, and by using bright, radiant rainbow colors, he constructs a unique, expressive world. With keen observation and a playful sense of humor, his works offer viewers a joyful visual experience.

Lee’s art conveys universal yet often-overlooked values, such as love, friendship, and family. Through his works, he gently reminds audiences of the warmth of human bonds and continuously asks: How deeply do we love, and how compassionately are we connected?
